Architect with masters in Digital Philosophy and Digital Twin, specialized in the management of BIM processes since 2009, he founded BIMon in 2015, the first BIM consulting firm in Italy. In 2017 he is the founder and CEO of React Studio and in 2019 of BIM Validation. He works in the field of data driven design and construction at an international level, he is a teacher for universities and public administrations, consultant for UNI 11337 BIM standard. He is also the founder of Dynamo Meetup Italy, and founding member of the BIM User Group Italy.
What to expect during the event
The real intelligence behind Digital Twin technology is in the AI and ML algorithms. Without intelligence and bidirectional data exchange, you do not have a Digital Twin but only a sterile copy of a real asset. Through some case studies on hospitals and historic buildings, we will show how the algorithms really enable optimization of energy consumption and maintenance activities in buildings and infrastructure. Using custom Data Platforms, digital models (BIM) of buildings and information from multiple sources (IoT sensors, energy consumption, BMS) were connected. In a single Cloud environment, BIM models, graphical elaborations, documents and dashboards were collected and virtualized to monitor different KPIs for the purpose of energy efficiency and optimization of maintenance processes. Once a sufficient statistical amount of structured data was obtained, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms were created and applied to enable the predictive maintenance process and generate energy savings.
