What to expect during the event
Building Information Modeling (BIM) offers significant potential to enhance construction projects. However, its successful implementation faces several key challenges:
• Limited BIM Proficiency: Many construction professionals lack the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively utilize BIM tools and technologies.
• Resistance to Change: Significant resistance to BIM adoption can arise due to concerns about costs, disruptions to existing workflows, and the learning curve involved.
• Absence of Clear Standards and Protocols: In many countries, particularly in Africa, standardized BIM protocols and data exchange formats are lacking.
• Inadequate Stakeholder Awareness: Many stakeholders may not fully understand the potential benefits of BIM and its value proposition for their specific roles and responsibilities within the project.
