Lebanese BIM expert, researcher, and certified architect, holding a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Beirut Arab University accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects. Currently working as a BIM and Systems Design Coordinator at Laceco Architects and Enginers; while pursuing the post-grad Master of Science degree in Building Information Management from the University of Portsmouth. His researches focus on the BIM integration in the upcoming Metaverse, Digital Plans of work, and digital transformation in the AEC industry. Nahi started his career by initiating the use of BIM in the architectural conservation process for the first time in Lebanon. As an AEC practitioner, Nahi worked on medium and large-scale design projects in the Middle East and North America; where he focused on the use of BIM as a design facilitator for the whole project lifecycle, and applied the “ design through information” principle to be shortlisted in several design competitions. Nahi is also a poet, writer, and social activist. According to him literature, architecture, engineering, BIM, and all sciences meet when it comes to "information".
What to expect during the event
The aim of this presentation is to visualize the methodologies of collecting informative data from the real-world, and using it in the emerging Metaverse through BIM and CIM; along with assessing the use of data generated from Metaverse in the AEC industry .In order to achieve the aim, the following key messages will define the presentation: 1- Understanding the Cities Digital Twins conversion to Metaverse. 2- Caegorizing the types of information to be exchanged between real-world and Metaverse. 3- Evaluating the hardware computational capabilities in exchanging information between real world and Metaverse. 4-Assesing the results coming from an algorithmic computational BIM/CIM workflow for the Metaverse/Realworld information exchange. 5- Evaluating the impact of information driven from Metaverse, on the decisions making in the AEC industry.
