Kuthur Sriram
Sri – Kuthur Sriram, a strong evangelist for Digitalisation in Construction industry, brings with him more than 25 years of experience in multiple industries spanning across ASIA and ANZ. In the past ten years, he has been working with AEC industries and manufacturing industries on adoption of digital twin at all stages of the product life cycle. He has deep experience working with ‘engineer to order’ manufacturing processes, as a lead consultant, mentoring them to practice digital prototyping in product designing. He has also worked with chemical and process industries in digitally and virtually re-designing production processes. In the last 5 years his attention has been on evangelizing in human centric design in infrastructure industry and sustainable development at all the stages of life cycle of construction industry with a special focus on linear transport infrastructure industry. He has been engaging with Government Digital transformation strategists both at Federal level and state level in Australia. Currently he is working with world leading educational institutions in ANZ and Southeast Asia in designing Digital twin learning platforms, designing industry relevant sustainable development learning contents for the ‘engineers of tomorrow”. Sri, as Global Manager currently leads the operations of ANZ and Southeast Asia for Bentley Education, an arm of Bentley Systems. He works with many leading universities in these regions consulting, mentoring and partnering with their curriculum team in designing “project-based learning” adopting Digital twin and Digitalisation in the infrastructure industry. Sri has a master’s degree in applied physics and a master’s degree in business management.
What to expect during the event
The talk focusses on the NEED and COMPULSION of Digital evolution in the larger infrastructure industry. Evolving 'Beyond BIM'. In comparison to other mature industries in adopting Digital Twin, the talk will dwell on the level of adoption of Digtalisation and creation of Digital Twin in every stage of the infrastructure life-cycle. Then I would dive deep in to dwell on evidence based productivity gain by adopting Digital twin in (a0 Planning state (b) design stage (c) Analysis stage (d) construction stage and (e) operation stage in the infrastructure projects. Finally the talk would dwell on challenges in system level Digital Twin creations.
