Kong Hoang
Kong is BIM Manager at Heatherwick leading digitally delivery across all the studio’s live architectural projects from concept through to detailed design stages. Before joining the studio, Kong brought with him 14 years’ experience in technical delivery with a focus on BIM, working for various medium to large scale architectural and engineering practices predominantly in the UK, including AJ100 practices such as Broadway Malyan and Sheppard Robson Architects. Within the studio, having delivered some of the most complex architectural projects in BIM, Kong was promoted to Studio BIM Manager in 2021 to provide leadership across several high-profile projects in the studio, and to support and advise on the studio wide strategic implementation of BIM. Kong is passionate about utilizing BIM in the most efficient ways possible, to enable designers to focus on design whilst allowing the documentation process to flow seamlessly from the design process.
What to expect during the event
The design process and BIM implementation are often disconnected and don’t develop in parallel, making BIM tedious and meaning that full adoption is delayed until stage 3. Break the silos and create a seamless workflow between BIM and design teams from the start of the project and delay your design freeze.
