John works as a technology consultant for owners with portfolios in commercial real estate, mission critical, and data center spaces. As a skilled technologist, John assists owners and their partners in developing, innovating, and implementing technology to improve all elements of design through construction, and into operations to promote the digital building lifecycle. As a technology consultant, John is the owner's representative for digital transformation. To better communicate project challenges, improve team engagement, and eliminate rework, John develops strategy and recommendations for the implementation of various construction technologies such as virtual design and construction (VDC), building information modeling (BIM), augmented, virtual, and mixed reality (AR/VR/MR), robotics, and reality capture (laser scanning, aerial photography, 360-degree cameras). John is a member of the Digital Twin Consortium, Builtworlds, and 7x24, as well as a speaker on developing technologies in the AEC industry.
What to expect during the event
During Construction Administration, Stateside, the A/E Design Team will be charged with maintaining and updating the IFC design models. Asbuilts from the GC and design revisions are part of closeout develop final record models. In EMEA the GC Team will be charged with maintaining and updating the final models. Asbuilts developed by the GC and design revisions are part of closeout develop final record models. From an owners perspective this is still missing critical data. Our discussion address this by advocating the use of reality capture to fill in the missing pieces.
