What to expect during the event
Augmented and Mixed Reality solutions have been around for decades, but historically have particularly been challenged with integrating into construction workflows. Despite the challenges, adoption of this technology is well worth the effort, as it can enable builders to leverage BIM assets to their fullest potential, and unlock a new level of communication and collaboration on the jobsite. This presentation will cover findings from an in-depth analysis of AR and MR applications in construction done in collaboration with Placer Solutions:
• Current challenges to address for practical applications of AR/MR solutions
• Recommendations on best practices for both builders and tech providers
• An overview of AR/MR solutions currently available
• Additional resources and research in this area
The goal of the session is to connect the audience with a basic toolkit of dos and don’ts for implementing AR/MR technology within their organizations.
