What to expect during the event

Blueprint to Binary: A Journey from Architecture to Software Development Through A Revit Plugin In this presentation, we will explore the journey from architecture to software development through the creation of a Revit plugin using C#. We will discuss the benefits of having an architectural background when working in a construction-related software development environment, emphasizing how this unique skill set can be leveraged in software development for the construction industry. Additionally, we will examine the role of visual coding tools such as Dynamo in bridging the gap between architecture and software development, helping attendees to develop skills in logic and algorithms and providing a more intuitive way of understanding coding concepts. Attendees will also have the opportunity to gain practical skills in Revit plugin development using C#, through a demonstration of creating buttons and pop-up items within the plugin. Finally, we will highlight the unique capabilities of Revit plugins in improving efficiency and accuracy in construction-related software development, including automating repetitive tasks and providing a more efficient workflow. By the end of the presentation, attendees will have a better understanding of the value of an architectural background in construction-related software development, as well as the role of visual coding tools in bridging the gap between architecture and software development. They will also gain practical skills in Revit plugin development using C# and recognize the unique capabilities of Revit plugins in improving efficiency and accuracy in construction-related software development.
