Daniël De Ridder
My name is De Ridder Daniel. I am a BIM coördinator for a construction company. In addition to my coordinating job, I am also responsible for the communication between the various project partners. I believe very strongly in the BIM process, and am convinced that the evolution of a smoother and less error-prone construction process is due to the BIM story. I started my carreer as a autocad draftsman. for 17 years I have been drawing 2D plans with great pleasure. In recent years, however, my focus has been on the 3D BIM story. as a BIM coordinator I have developed a way to map the health of supplied 3D models. Since we, as a contractor, are dependent on supplied 3D models, this method will help us to draw up the planning of the project. Just as important is our team effort to create templates for our 3D software to increase our productivity. in addition to my job as BIM coordinator, I am also involved in healthy things such as walking and cycling.
What to expect during the event
Introduction • Standardisation and connectivity for increased productivity in all our departments • Importance of this topic • Relevance of this topic to the audiance First step • Collect data • Supporting material (how we collect data) Second step • Generating models for different phases of the construction process • Supporting material (how we generate those models) Third step • analyzation of the models and collaboration with the different projectpartners • supporting material (how we analyse the models) (how we set up the collaboration/communication) Conclusion • All of the steps mentioned above lead to a smoother building process • this presentation teaches us the need for the presence of correct and consistent information in the BIM model • this presentation teaches us that it is possible and necessary to include non-bimmers in the BIM process. • This presentation teaches us the importance of standardisation in the BIM process
