What to expect during the event
The UK Water Industry has already embraced BIM to achieve outcomes through better collaboration of stakeholders in common data environment setups. To spearhead digital transformation, BIM4Water was born as a cross-industry group open to all organisations involved in managing and delivering water and wastewater assets in the UK. This first part of the session will give an overview of how BIM4Water is working on developing and implementing standard processes for collecting and exchanging product data associated with water industry assets. In the second part of the session, the speaker will present real-life examples from an ongoing water sector project in the UK that uses the principles set out by BIM4Water. Through those real-life examples, the attendees will be able to see how the upfront development of asset information requirements and product data templates is driving efficiencies across the lifecycle (design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and handover).
