Niamh Webbley-O’Gorman is the Regional Manager for the Irish Hubs of The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), developing and managing regional strategy and activity, and providing local member engagement. Working for the CIOB for 15 years, she has taken a variety of admin, events, and business development roles, giving her a broad knowledge of the Institute’s work and of the industry throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland. Niamh also visits companies, colleges, and universities, speaking about CIOB and the supports it offers to those working and studying within the built environment. She enjoys meeting construction students and professionals, and working with the members to grow the CIOB in Ireland.
Prior to joining CIOB, Niamh worked in financial administration for AIB Bank, Bank of Scotland (Ireland), and HP Financial Services. She was founder, director, and property manager for Elevate Property Management, and director of Various Voices 2014, an organisation that brought a 4-day pan-European LGTBQ+ choral festival to Dublin. She was a key strategist in successfully increasing festival attendance by 33% to 2,500 singers, and in opening the festival to those outside Europe, bringing attendees from North America, Australia, and China for the first time.
Niamh has a BSc (Honours) Open from the Open University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. She enjoys singing in her spare time and is the Treasurer of the Parents’ Association at her children’s school.
